Fundraising for the Rubin Run

The Virtual Rubin Run is a wonderful opportunity to honor a loved one who has been diagnosed with a developmental disability or autism, to help a family in need who will benefit from the JCC’s amazing programs and services and for people of all ages and abilities to come together and celebrate our differences. By creating a fundraiser, you are helping to fuel the mission of the JCC. Ask everyone you know including family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, school and religious organizations and more if they will support you in raising funds for the JCC!

At the JCC no donation is too small, and each and every dollar counts. Your donations help fund social, recreational, cultural and educational experiences for individuals with special needs and can make a significant difference in our community.

With every donation, you are helping the JCC to improve the quality of life of this special and deserving group of individuals and their families.

$50 will provide tickets and entry fees for an Adult Day Program participant to participate in cultural enrichment trips and meaningful activities

$100 will provide 5 noise cancelling headphones for individuals with sensory issues to help them manage sound challenges

$250 will provide instruments for music therapy classes

$360 will provide twelve (12) thirty-minute private swim lessons with appropriate support

$500 will provide an assistive technology device, such as an iPad, for a program participant to use for help developing language skills and assist with daily activities

$1,000 will provide one-year of life skills training for teens and adults with special needs, ages 14-22, to learn self-help skills, independent living skills, and pro-social behaviors.

$2,500 will provide scholarship assistance for a child with special needs to attend Camp Haverim

$5,000 will provide an 8-week scholarship for a child with special needs to attend Camp Tikvah

2020 Individual Fundraising Incentives*

If you raise $1,000, you can choose one of the following rewards:

  • One (1) Virtual or in-person Personal Training Session with a JCC fitness expert
  • One (1) hour-long Swedish Massage at the Spa at the JCC
  • One (1) Facial Treatment at the Spa at the JCC
  • One-week pass to the SWC (must be an existing member)
  • Two-week pass to the JCC (for non-members only) 
  • $100 JCC Cash (for members only; some restrictions apply)

*Please note that: 1) if the JCC remains closed due to circumstances surround COVID-19 after the event has finished, your reward will be redeemable up to one-year from the date our doors re-open; and 2) individual fundraising incentives apply for personal fundraising totals only, and does not include the average raised by a team. Team incentives will acknowledged separately as noted below.

  • If you raise $360, you will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card 
2020 Team Recognition

If your team raises $5,000, your team will be recognized as follows:

  • Every individual team member will receive a Virtual Rubin Run special gift
  • Team will be recognized on JCC Facebook and Instagram pages
